It was a decent week of running and other cross training activities. 7 miles Monday, cross training Tuesday, 4 mile hill workout Wednesday, 4 miles easy Thursday, off Friday and a little over 11 miles on Saturday, with a great cross training workout today!!! Thanks to Alex at the UFC gym, there were a lot of squats and burpees. I really think that's going to be the class that's going to help increase my speed, and strengthen my legs. Right now my longer runs have been around a 8:45 mile, 8:30 was my best. I think for now that's ok, since the long runs are supposed to be slower. I have a 15k race coming up in a few weeks, so I'll be able to judge where I'm starting at, and work from there. I need to sign up for some more races this year, but it's cold in Chicago in the winter, so I'm scared I'm going to be racing when it's 2 degrees out........or maybe I should just suck it up and do it anyways!!! The diet was decent this week, but I could still clean it up a bit. I need to drop a few more pounds to be at my ideal running weight. I'm half way there!!!
