Korean Beef Bowl

So we got a lotttttttttt of ground beef with our CSA (community supported agriculture) from Meadow Haven Farm over the last three months.  So I was looking for new, yummy ways to use it, and I found one!!!  We really liked this recipe!!

Ingredients
1 lb ground beef
1/3 cup brown sugar
1 tbsp sesame oil
1/4 cup soy sauce or tamari
1/2 -1 tsp red pepper flakes
1/4 tsp ground ginger
1 tbsp evoo
3 cloves garlic, pressed
2 green onions, sliced
Optional Add Ins - snow peas, water chestnuts, broccoli
Brown rice or another grain of your choice for serving

Instructions
In a bowl, whisk brown sugar, soy sauce, sesame oil, red pepper flakes and ginger.
Heat evoo in a large skillet or pan, over medium heat (try not to let it smoke).  Add garlic and optional veggies and cook for a few minutes until tender crisp.  Add ground beef and cook until browned.  Drain fat.  Stir in soy sauce mixture and green onions (or save the green onions to top it at the end) until well combined and simmer for a few minutes.  I served it over brown rice.

Note - if you increase the veggies in the recipe you may want to increase the amount of sauce as well. The sauce recipe is for green onions as the only veggie.
